|
|
Dont fret I aint going anywhere
But it is always prudent to have something on the back burner...
And this is it, a sea born Myrmidom, working name X'lomm {(click) Lomm}
I got a bit enthused with the concept, and the ideas I was having for kit and stuff, I have other ideas formulating on bags and recepticles.
He would be an observer, and explorer for his people, come to see what the land walkers are doing. Possible minor blessing form the new world gods to speed his knowledge assimilation, and observation, but not a fighter, he will be a complete crange from Dog, a scolar and researcher. Come to investigate the bad smells and disturbances his people have felt in the last few years.
(dont know if Matt will green light it, but I like the ideas )

Not going into detail of the cultural stuff for natives at all, I don't see any reason why Matt would'nt green light this. It would work for both Azarch and Tlaxi, however it is definatly more Azarch in style and concept for reasons I can't go into. The costume rocks and its fricking cool idea, choose Coyote, because the worlds needs some worshippers of the Dog God
I have backup charaters and groups for the next couple of years :p (other than my gnoll backup)
the first is an Azarch builder, the keeper of lore and knoledge for his hive, again not a fighter, but more still on his search for more knoeldge to benefit his People.
The second is a Kamakuran Group/ Huntress Church. The Shogans Head Hunters that have tken on a ritual dishonourment so they can avenge the wrongs did in the new world by any means nessecary. Going under disguise and they are NOT Ninja! Rather Ronin Samurai who will become fully honoured once their objectives are achieved.
Finally there is my mad doc Akonian character, Obsessed with melding metal with human, a Dr Frankenstien character mixed with an Orc Mad doc. _________________ All fly. All Savage. |

Nope, but have been looking up ways of making them, I think they need to be fairly 'floppy', was looking at toy octopusses and squids, see if the tentacles could be bound to a mask, possibly the beaky one from kangena.

Admiral Akbar type could work but this creture was the inspiration for the head, and for praticality I think a smaller one would work better, but if you want to create a real genius type go for it:)
I had the idea, I think I might have said this before, that if people like we could slowly filter over to a new group as and when we die off, but that is up to you guys, I really like this idea:)
and when I have fleshed out some more of the background I will post.
They were also influenced from these too, hence the armoured right arm, a tradition from the past...
the other legs would have atrophied to nothing and would eithr have been amputated or left as an atrophied reminder of their ancestory. _________________ <a href="http://www.facebook.com/p/Chris_Broomfield/667750230" title="Chris Broomfield's Facebook profile" target=_TOP><img src="http://badge.facebook.com/badge/667750230.1015.1169274331.png" border=0 alt="Chris Broomfield's Facebook profile"></a> |

This just in from PD
"I've spoken to folks and there is more-or-less no problem with mollusc
myrmidons. It is worth noting that several *fundamental* aspects of
myrmidon biology are based on insectile biology, they reproduce sort of
asexually for instance and have hives with queens and lots of worker
myrmidons and so forth. Those things can't be changed, but so long as
you can adapt your marine myrmidon you won't have a problem. What I'm
trying to say is that a marine insect myrmidon is fine, a mollusc
myrmidon might present a few problems.
It's also worth noting that Myrmidons can't breathe underwater, sink in
water (not float like mammals do) and have no boat technology. Again I
don't think these things are problems actually, since you could still be
water based with those limitations, it would just be unusual. But they
are worth noting.
Matt"
I'll have a look around for other ideas, but I'm thinking mosquito like infants who then puipate into these guys, I'm thinking also large lung capacity for these shore dwellers. _________________ <a href="http://www.facebook.com/p/Chris_Broomfield/667750230" title="Chris Broomfield's Facebook profile" target=_TOP><img src="http://badge.facebook.com/badge/667750230.1015.1169274331.png" border=0 alt="Chris Broomfield's Facebook profile"></a> |

What about a marine type pond skater you wouldn't need boats you could just skate, not sure how you get round the sinking bit, but ps's definately don't sink, put it to Matt P I can see him burying his face in his hands as I type. _________________ Only fools judge the conquests of the wise and call it luck. |

Pond Skaters don't sink cos they are too light and don't break the surface tension of the water, me on the other hand
H.
Sure thing, not something that I will bring out till Dog bites it and I have no plan for that atm, just because I dont want the idea diluted by being a secondary cant do nowt numpty
If your gonna be a warrior, I think they should have at thing for shields or armoured arms
excited again... need to calm down _________________ <a href="http://www.facebook.com/p/Chris_Broomfield/667750230" title="Chris Broomfield's Facebook profile" target=_TOP><img src="http://badge.facebook.com/badge/667750230.1015.1169274331.png" border=0 alt="Chris Broomfield's Facebook profile"></a> |

Diving beetles kewl
They create a bubble of air which they bring down with them, this would have to be a sac of somesort now, and possibly a commodity in thier society, instead of water, a trade in air, subsistance can happen, but trips up and down to the surface take large chunks out of your day.
