Hi all.

I'm posting this here in case anyone is interested in coming to crew the 2007 Shadovald LRP event, taking place on the 28th-30th of September at Birch Hall scout site in the Yorkshire Moors.

The event will basically be a high combat undead grinder, with as much horror and gore as is to be expected when fighting the roving hordes of the unliving. The adventurers are marching head-first into the City of Shade, Atharu - the home of the undead and their lich king. It will not be an easy fight - nor do we want it to be!

Over the course of the (fully catered) weekend, you will have the chance to play a range of different undead nasties, ranging from the slow but unstoppable zombies to the martially proficient skeletons and the lightning quick vampirically regenerating ghouls. There will likely be other roles available as well - and any time you are not monstering/at mealtimes you will be able to play an NPC in camp with the PC's.

Shadovald is a moderately high fantasy system set in a big scary 'gonna get ya' game world filled with undead, demons and other nasties. Inspired by the lyrics of bands like Manowar, Bal-Sagoth and Hammerfall, the system sets out to tell a story of heroic struggles against impossible odds. Set in and around the city-state of Inselburg, adventurers -under the grudging endorsement of the God-King's court- go forth across the land to perform the duties that others are too proud (or too afraid) to attempt. Currently, their very home -the city itself- has fallen under siege from the undead hordes - and so as one last-ditch effort to save Inselburg from the oncoming tide, they march forth into the darkness in order to strike at its heart.
