Righty, thought I'd post here and quick since time will shortly be upon us for the next event. What tent and props do we have available to us? My bank balance is looking healthy atm but being out of work will soon dent that so I'm holding off buying that gazebo for now unless we have no alternatives.
Basically Tori's agreed to be set-dresser extraordinaire and spend some of her hard-earned wonga to make the club tent look like a true byzantine den of iniquity. Some of the considerations are very IC so I'll post those bits in the relevent sections, but the basic club tent and any auxhillary bits required are what I'm trying to sort here.
1) Tent(s) - What tents do we have available for this? Will we need more than one tent for the job (ie to use as a corridor to other tents in the complex)?
2) Misc. Propage - What props do we have available for this (ie hookas, and yes whoever offered we'd love one! We can even supply turkish hooka tabacco for actual smoking if it's a working one).
3) Custom Propage - For example, the Club Rules displayed at the doorway, an "entertainments centrepiece" incorporating a hooka/contrabando compartments/faux cutting paraphenalia etc
We have ideas but I forgot to mention it at the pub meet. Please feel free to add ideas here as well. _________________ "Shoot him in the EYE! FACE is for ruffians and amateurs..."

One bell tent. I'll not be sleeping in it this event as I'm going to be with th rest of you.
I have a chair I can cover. Other than that tell me what might help. I live near the large North Wales Aberkahn so can often pick up cheap set up dressing fabric. Tell me what colours you might want if interested and I'll go have a look.
Other than that I think i've got rid of most of my props but I'll have a look round. |

Problem with that as far as I can see is that it's a public bar (at least for those using thte larp hotel)... unless th rest of the group have changed the camp ideas?[/url] _________________ "Shoot him in the EYE! FACE is for ruffians and amateurs..."

| even so from past knowledge of the larp hotel and heinrichs plans, it would still not be entirely appropriate. All manner of hoypaloy traipsing through the party. |

Oh, please do keep coming up with ideas! It's just that the larp hotel is a bit too public unless they allow us to move the tents we hire to the rest of them _________________ "Shoot him in the EYE! FACE is for ruffians and amateurs..."

| at the moment it does sound as if the larp hotel is going to be the sons of sets surrogate home. i feel sory for the other guests that will be caught in the inevitable crossfire. |

| Blackberry and I are going to have a bell tent up that people can go to. Not going to say much here as an open area. |

Oh, please do keep coming up with ideas! It's just that the larp hotel is a bit too public unless they allow us to move the tents we hire to the rest of them | well next event sean has a booking for the black monks and there having 3 tents if i remember correctly and sean offered to make them there own enclosure within the hotel so im sure if you contact him at sean[at]skianmhor[dot]co[dot]uk he might let you do something and even tho the hotal is open it is a case of only invited guests and residence.
Hopefully i'll be staying at the hotel with the other half. but if not, good chance i'll be camped with the mayan |
