Backup Character....I would like to create an undead as a backup in the case my current character(s) die. I'm playing Gnoll next however I always keep contingency plans 
My current thoughts is culturally a Malathian Spod colonist who during the many fammines in that colony always managed to feed himself through wit and low moral fibre.... Wit being the thing outstanding here and the low moral fibre being the norm in the colony... In punishment he is strung up by the angry starving mob while the colony leaders seemingly did nothing to help this settler. Whilst strung up in a human cage and left to starve to death, with the added discomfort of a metal adjestable face cage that has been screwed too tightly  . One of your Necro's happens upon me who I swear allegience too if he can save me from my wretched fate. which he does....
thats the short short idea.

Like it, I guess you were thinking of actually wearing the cage as part of your costume, being all pastey inbetween and red raw where the rusty metal was screwed on too tighly

yep, For my face anyhow, making alginate mould of my face then constructing a prosthetic from that My thoughts behind a prosthetic with a cage on the front was I wanted to have the cage itself diggin into my flesh
I was thinking of raw wounds also from where the mob had given me a kicking.

There are a few other things I can point out to you once dead about form and appearance (or if you ask me IC) about us breathing restricted types, but thats not for open forum

I like the idea dude but from a purly (i may know more perspective (but if i dont please feel free to kick me)) i would like to say try setting the character in the old world.

Well as we enter the 14th year here in the colonies character who have evolved here will come about, and even a 30yr old will have spent most of his life here now, and some of us a whole lot longer
