Quick, dirty but effective armour

Any ideas for creating effective orc-themed armour/clothing from cheap sources as my pocket isn't very expansive right now? Most of the budget will be going on the facial prosthetics. I've got some scrappy partial chainmail I can use, just wondering if there's a recommended easy material to use for armour and some cheapo articles of clothing which can be murderised to achive the look ready for Eos in a few weeks.

Anyone else going as well btw? Fancy going as orcs? Wink

Too many Orcs as far as I can see on rule7. I'll stick to Raggnar.
