Ooooh, that is a very kind offer! It's looking like we might have enough but if we need it and the offer is still open then we may well ask nicely and ply with booze! Very Happy

just grab me at the event even if it is Saturday if you want more as I can shoot off for an hour or so if I need the break.

Thanks Branwen, extra cushions always welcome! Very Happy

And thanks Jengo but I think one tent is going to be enough hassle this event. Good to know for the future and thanks for the offer.

Right... I *think* we now only need the following

1x Hookah (HIGH priority, would set off the tent nicely and we will love you forever)
Drapey wall hangings

Danny boy & I reckon to do the entire tent would take 60-70m of material. Allegedly there's a remnant shop my way that has viole for under a pound per metre. I'm a bit worried though due to possible open flames with candles. Anyone know if there's a cheap way of fireproofing matarials (or at least making them fire resistant) beyond soaking in water?

Re: Fire protection
Distance (from flamable materials), sobriety and a handy powder extinguisher are your best bet.

Use a fabric thats more substantial than voile.
Not everyone has to be sober just one person. Err and as I'm normaly sober due to my meds do you want me to keep popping in to make sure things are ok?

I have 1 wall hanging thing so thats one bit thats not voile although if you get it all you can always ut this on a chair etc............

VERY YES to the Hookah! If you can get one for fairly cheap then I'll give you the money for it when I see you!

Danny boy's said he got 20m of material (not sure what kind though, although it's red). The more choice of hangings we have the better, so thanks you hugely! Smile

And sober people? In *OUR* tent??? What have you done with the real William Burke? Laughing

I wasn't volunteering, I was merely suggesting that the booze will last longer if someone sober does the pouring. Laughing

I'm sorry about the sobriety thing. As I'm not supposed to drink at all on my meds I tend to keep the amount I drink quiet low and if I don't I get a hugely horrible hangover and would then miss most of the event!

So yep apart from possibly Thursday night I won't be drinking much Sad(
